Laid by free-roaming hens that get to spend their days outside on fresh pastures, these eggs are better in every way. They taste better. They look better. They’re better for you. The hens that lay them live happily, healthily, and as naturally as possible.

The grain diet of our hens is naturally complemented with plants, insects and earthworms that give their eggs a huge nutritious oomph. Our hens overnight in mobile chicken homes, safely tucked away from predators, with the droppings helping to fertilize the pastures and build our soil health.

Eat & Drink

The Cape Dutch farms were historically renowned for their warm welcome and generous hospitality. What crowned this welcome was the Cape table, laden with wholesome dishes made from ingredients from the farm’s werf and fields.

Our Wines

Given our exceptional winemaking heritage of almost 300 years, the Boschendal cellar masters meticulously balance rustic tradition and modern innovation to produce classic, fruity wines while upholding the ecological integrity that has become synonymous with our brand.

The Farm

Agriculture and a simple farm lifestyle is at the heart of Boschendal. One of the oldest farms in South Africa, founded 1685, the farm has grown with the passing centuries into a cherished source of wholesome produce, great wines and happy memories.
