It’s National Heritage day! Here we like to call it Braai Day, because, any excuse for a delicious Braai (a South African BBQ). We are hosting the most amazing open-air Ox roast feast in front of Boschendal’s historic Rhone Homestead, on the Rhone lawns which boast the largest Heritage Rose garden in South Africa.
Picture a long table under the oak trees, groaning with incredible harvest style delicacies. Picture our diligent chefs preparing incredible side dishes, mostly over open fires. Picture one of our home raised, pasture fed Angus oxen slow roasting on a spit over a bed of coals. Sounds utterly delicious doesn’t it? So bring your family and join us.
Enjoy platters heaped with seasonal farm produce, great wine including some new Boschendal releases, and a festive atmosphere with brilliant live entertainment from Slow Jack.
