Enjoy drinks and a 3-course dinner spread over 4 different venues on the historical Boschendal Farm.

On Saturday 8 August diners will be able to ‘rove’ with executive chef Christiaan Campbell as he shares our passion for farm-to-table food.

The evening starts off with drinks in the Olive Press with views of Groot Drakenstein glowing with the setting sun. A short 5 minute walk through the Food Garden leads diners to the Deli in the historical Werf for starters and a paired wine. The main course, once again paired with a glass of wine, will be in the new Werf Restaurant. The historical and gracious Manor House is our final venue for dessert and coffee.

“We had a lot of fun putting together an evening of entertaining and relaxed eating, making full use of our different venues, many of which are not usually used for dining,” says Christiaan. “I don’t want to give away too much of the surprise, but the rovers will visit four different settings, enjoy four different eating and drinking experiences.

The different venues are all within easy walking distance but we recommend bringing something warm to wear for the walk between the venues.

The cost is R450 per person and tickets are limited.

Explore The Boschendal Estate

The Farm

Agriculture and a simple farm lifestyle is at the heart of Boschendal. One of the oldest farms in South Africa, founded 1685, the farm has grown with the passing centuries into a cherished source of wholesome produce, great wines and happy memories.

Accommodation

Guest accommodation is a recent addition to the farm with luxury accommodation ranging from the historical Herbert Baker designed Rhodes Cottage to beautifully restored farm labourer cottages. With emphasis on stylish simplicity the guest cottages are authentic, rural yet contemporary in character.

Eat & Drink

The Cape Dutch farms were historically renowned for their warm welcome and generous hospitality. What crowned this welcome was the Cape table, laden with wholesome dishes made from ingredients from the farm’s werf and fields.
