The historic Cape Vernacular Manor House dates back to 1812. 

Now home to the new Manor House Wine Tasting, offering premium tastings and pairings, and meeting rooms for private functions.

Room sizes & Configuration

An inventive and highly decorative feature of Cape Dutch homes is the wooden screen with louvres that could be shifted open or closed. It effectively seperated the voorhuis (front of house) from the private living area.

With the screen open the voorhuis (foyer) and agterkamer (living room) form a large 5,5 metre x 13 metre room that is used for formal function dinners.

Additional Venue Hire Details

Due to limitations imposed on high intensity lighting in the Manor House, photographs may not be taken inside the Manor House.

The venue hire includes our standard tables, chairs, cutlery,

crockery, glassware and linen but excludes food and beverages, staff and outdoor furniture or marquee.

Overtime: R1000 per hour plus the staff costs listed in the Terms & Conditions.

As the venue is a museum please note that all décor, flowers, equipment, etc. must be removed from the venue immediately after the function.

Christiaan Campbell, our executive chef, and his team look forward to preparing flavourful and nourishing farm-to-table food for your function.

At Boschendal our focus is on celebrating the bounty of our valley producing fresh food using the best quality seasonal ingredients, grown with consideration for the earth, and sourced from our fields and pasture as well as other local farms.

We have prepared some sample menus for you to get an idea of what you can expect but we will gladly customise these menus should you have any specific preferences or dietary requirements.

The cost of a three-course menu is from R350 per person.
