This is our beautiful new wedding and function barn with exposed natural poplar roof trusses, floor to ceiling glass doors and stunning views over meadow gardens to the Groot Drakenstein Mountain. The double volume space is the perfect combination of contemporary and organic.
The Olive Press can seat up to 250 guests inside, depending on set up and a further 100 guests in a covered outdoor area. The covered area as well as the meadow garden could be used for a wedding ceremony.
Our Werf guest cottages are in the vicinity of the Olive Press. If the function involves amplified music then the use of the 7 cottages is included as an addition in the final venue hire rate.

Capacity: 250 guests seated inside, additional 100 seated outside under covered area.
The hall covers an area of 340m2 and can be divided into smaller rooms smaller rooms for conferencing and corporate functions if required. These smaller rooms can accommodate between 50 and 100 people.
The sheltered patio is 150m2 in size with the uncovered patio being 175m2

A separate bar area leads onto a deck leading into a grove of poplar trees.
The meadow gardens and grassed bank under the trees are available for use as part of the venue hire.
The venue hire includes tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, glassware and linen but excludes food and beverages, staff, outdoor furniture or marquee.
Overtime: R2 500 per hour for lunch functions after 17h00 and R2 500 for dinner functions after 24h00 plus the staff costs listed in the Terms & Conditions below
The 7 guest cottages, which are included at an additional cost for events involving amplified music, are within 150 metres of the venue. The cottages can sleep up to 14 adults and 8 children. Please click here for more information on the Werf Cottages

At Boschendal our focus is on celebrating the bounty of our valley producing fresh food using the best quality seasonal ingredients, grown with consideration for the earth, and sourced from our fields and pasture as well as other local farms.
We have prepared some sample menus for you to get an idea of what you can expect but we will gladly customise these menus should you have any specific preferences or dietary requirements.
The cost of a three-course menu is from R350 per person.
