 Visitors to Boschendal are able to taste and purchase wines in the pleasant surroundings of the Taphuis. It is situated close to the Le Rhone Manor House and is a short distance from the winery. Visitors may sit inside the Taphuis or be seated at elegant tables outside the Taphuis in the shade of the giant spreading oak tree, to savour their Boschendal wines. Experienced, knowledgeable people are in attendance to assist with the tasting and purchasing of the wines and to answer any wine-related questions.  This vineyard consists of 0.29 hectares and represents ±9 of the varieties planted on Boschendal. The idea with this vineyard is to illustrate the vineyard practices on Boschendal during the year as well as to show people the characteristics of each varietal under Boschendal´s unique climatic conditions. The total production from this vineyard varies from 1 to 1.5 tons each year (3.5-5tons/ha). This represents ±65 to 100 cases of wine or 780 to 1,200 bottles. |
