The Werf Restaurant

A COLLABORATION WITH NATURE ON EVERY PLATE

Situated in the beautifully revamped original cellar of the Manor House, the focus at The Werf Restaurant is on presenting contemporary soil-to-fork dining using the best available local, seasonal and ethically-sourced ingredients.

Our sharing plate menu features produce from the farm including our Black Angus beef, forest-reared Duroc pork as well as vegetables and herbs from The Werf Food Garden, which can be viewed from the conservatory.

Our wine tasting is open at the Werf Restaurant under the oak trees. We also have delicious farm plates and bar snacks to choose from.

HOMEWARE POP-UP SHOP

Our Homeware Pop-up Shop features crockery from Wonki Ware, stylish gadgets and must-haves for hikes and the great outdoors from Just Like Papa, and a range of previously loved gardening books from Pier Rabe Antiques. Design a vegetable garden or prune the roses properly, taking advice from the South African experts whose books are there to browse.  Andrea’s Topiaries is back with a chic range of year-long topiary decor for the home. There are skin and body care products from Provenance, handmade candles from Kapula and more.

Shop, then enjoy a fresh pastry and delicious coffee on the farm.

CHEF ALLISTAIRE AND THE TEAM

Embracing the global trend of sharing plates, Chef Allistaire has evolved our menu to a relaxed soil-to-fork dining experience that celebrates the remarkable organic produce the farm.

The focus is on the produce, and always just the produce without gimmicks. The simplicity of Allistaire’s cooking allows the product to shine. Apart from having a talented chef at the pass, a superior product needs no help stealing the show.

We’ve recognised the need for more accessible, less formal dining and hope that our new menu encourages people to come together to celebrate and rediscover the joy of sharing a meal together.
